 There are few videos describing how to use the Dessini CM-14. However, Breville Bambino is so similar that we can use the same instructions for both machines. The 1 shot button outputs 1 oz or 28 g of output. The 2 shot button outputs 2 oz or 56 g of output. We can stop them at any time but Bambino may have extra functions. CM-14 also outputs steam or water but it has one button to select steam. If not selected, it defaulted to water. The output for steam or water is controlled by a twisting knob. For detailed dialing-in, watch this Bambino instructions. The Delonghi Dedica is even closer to Dessini CM-14. The video below is a good introduction and possible upgrades that also apply to CM-14.  Hand Grinder cannot grind too finely. The cheapest and yet more consistent and lasting is the Hario Skerton clone. Hario Skerton Clone Hand Grinder It's burr is mounted using steel instead of plastics. The smaller hand grinders cost the same but mounted using plastics. The burr is wobbly so the grind size is not consistent. Cannot do heavy duty because the plastics can become deformed so will not hold the burr for grinding any more. Small Hand Grinders Burr Mounts We can strength the plastic mounts by melting fine washing iron mesh inti the plastics but would require extra effort and may damage the plastic parts. The problem with these hand grinders is that their finest setting is still too coarse for espresso, especially for non-pressurised basket, especially for small doses. The smaller the dose, the finer the grain size which should taste better, but can create more channelling. Channelling is eliminated in the 51mm basket of the Dessini CM-14 Espresso machine.   Looks much cleaner with puck screen installed. Paper filter sticks to this head. No channelling visible but there is another paper filter underneath. Head screen looks clean but you still need to flush it.

  Never use soap or abrasive materials.

 This is too troublesome to do after every grind. I just wash the components without dismantling the ceramic burr. Just put water in the grinder and grind the water at the finest setting. Do not use any chemical.

 This technique does not work on my grinder. Too far from the centre. Better use a gentle push to determine zero point. The grind size is inconsistent so need to grind a few times. At least the lowest setting is the smallest grind size possible. Subsequent grinds are much lighter. The problem with the inconsistent size is due to the flimsy washer. It allows the burr to move slightly. A more solid washer made from epoxy paste may reduce the burr movement. The washer can just be reinforced with some safe materials.
