Biolomix Handheld Espresso Maker

It is a clone of the Staresso. Staresso has better coffee extraction than Nanopresso and can do Nespresso capsule also.

Unfortunately, its raw coffee powder capacity  is only 9 g compacted.

Staresso total extraction but this is the latest version, SP-200.

Laralinc looks like Biolomix and similar in operation to Staresso.

Biolomix looks longer but it is due to the attached cup.

Arrived in 5 days to Kota Kinabalu. Very fast. The best Espresso Machine I have bought. Better than Electric powered, CM-14 except for steaming milk. Minipresso that keeps on leaking and both of them cannot use Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsules.

Should have chosen black colour because the plastics are easily tinted with coffee and even marker pens. The manual warned about sharp edges in the modules, especially the Nespresso. I nearly cut myself while cleaning.

Starbucks Capuccino Dolce Gusto Pods. The coffee in the cup was extra 40 ml extracted. The milk was not fully extracted, only 100 ml. Should have extract the fourth time.

The manual is complete and accurate but didn't tell about quantity. Videos on Stresso basics helped in determining the same amount of coffee. Recommended 8 g but I was able to put 8.5 g with little packing.

I didn't try putting paper filter, relying on the rubber filter only. The output at 20 ml, has some Creme and tasted alright, not too sour or bitter. Additional 30 ml is more watery.

The tank can only hold hot water that can output 40 ml. In the Dolce Gusto Starbucks Capuccino, the espresso is ok, but the milk required 3 refills. On my third refill, it was only half way, so the output milk is only 100 ml. When opening the milk capsule, there is still a lot of milk left. We should pump more water to extract most of the milk for maximum use.

Size wise, it should be smaller than the Outin clone. Take out the cup and store separately. The Outin cup can fit inside but must be taken out in use. Forgetting to remove the Outin cup will result in extra pressure and leaks. The Outin clone suffer from leaks and difficulty in dismantling so need proper dial-in for ground coffee.

No marking for cup so created one. Difficult to use weighing machine. During camping, we need a cup with markings even for the Outin clone that doesn't stop predictably.

Reviews on Stresso Mini which is even more impressive. It is more compact because the cup stand can slide to the middle of the pump. Unfortunately, the scoop cannot be stored inside. The reviewer uses the pump handle as a tamper. Not ideal because the handle is not flat.

An interesting perspective of a Stresso Mini.

Dialing-in Staresso Basic.

Biolomix CoffArt worked with original Nespresso capsules but not the Sealpod clone capsules with aluminum stickers.

With 5 g coffee with slight tamping.
Putting more coffee and tamping real hard may work. It doesn't work because the flat bottom of the Sealpod type. capsules is touching the piercing pins of the Nespresso adapter. That is why the plastic adapters work. Let us hope that the Capmesso clones can work with CoffArt.

A pre-punctured, pre-heated Nespresso pod.

A cold water Espresso with creme using Staresso Mini.

Capmesso clone reuseable capsules can accommodate 7 g of coffee. Either espresso fine or coarser worked with the CoffArt but failed with the battery powered Outin clone. Probably because it leaked so cannot provide enough pressure to break the aluminium foil.
CoffArt with marker scales and 7 g packed coffee.

The marker are drawn using permanent marker on on a cello tape. The marked cello tape was cello taped to protect the marks. Faster than using scales.
